We are looking for a Museum & Collections Manager to join us on a fixed-term basis till 31st March 2024.

The Museum and Collections Manager will be responsible for the management and strategic development of the Museum service within the Culture and Communities Division. Working to a new service plan they will inform and lead collections priorities including decant and scoping of the service to deliver a robust and fit for purpose Museum service which integrates with our cultural provision such as Libraries and Active Lifestyles.

Crucially, the post holder will also play a leading role in developing and delivering plans for the museum service within the wider redevelopment of the Croydon Clocktower and in ensuring successful delivery of the museum's involvement in London Borough of Culture 2023. The postholder will have overall responsibility for the Borough’s museum collections; to enhance customer access to the Borough’s historic collections and designing outreach programmes beyond the current Museum offer.

The post holder will engage with a variety of national agencies and local groups to deliver a wide ranging offer to increase visitor attendance, from within the borough and beyond.  We are looking for people who are keen to work in partnership, build good relationships locally, nationally and internationally.

Salary: £44,760 - £46,839 (fixed term to 31st March 2024)
