Museum & Archives Update December 2023

The Riesco Gallery is open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:00-16:00.

The Little Manhattan Exhibition is open in the Atrium (available to see during Croydon Clocktower opening hours) and the Exhibition Gallery on Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:00-13:00 and 14:00-16:00 in line with the opening times of the Research Room. This exhibition runs from 6th December 2023 - 23rd February 2024.

The Museum of Croydon’s ‘Then to Now’ galleries are currently closed while our new Music Heritage Trail exhibition is being installed. Watch this space!

The Research Room is open by appointment on Wednesdays and Fridays. Appointments are available from 11:00-13:00 and 14:00-16:00 and bookings can be made by emailing archives@croydon.gov.uk, providing details of the items you wish to view. Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours for open-access resources only at staff discretion, if there is availability.

Our last day open will be Friday 22nd December 2023 and we will reopen to the public on Wednesday 10th January 2024. During this closed period we will be conducting staff and volunteer training.

We will continue to answer remote enquiries but please be patient during the winter break while our staff take annual leave.
