Photography Walking Tour: Croydon’s Industrial Past

Bring your camera and join local historian Lindsay Ould and photographer Lee Williams on a photography walking tour of Croydon’s industrial heritage. Lee’s photographs form the centrepiece of the ‘Forge: Industries of Croydon’ exhibition at the Museum of Croydon.

The event will start in the ‘Forge: Industries of Croydon’ exhibition at 10:30, where you’ll have the chance to see the display and be briefed on the event plan. From 11:00-12:30 you’ll be guided around the centre of Croydon to locations from the borough’s industrial past. Lindsay will share information about the sites and Lee will be on hand to give guidance on how to consider photographing the spaces. The event will end at Croydon Clocktower café where tea, coffee and cake will be provided and you’ll have the chance to share your photographs and speak further to Lee about his work.

The walk will take place regardless of the weather so dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes. All sites will be within walking distance of the Clocktower.

Tickets: £15 (including a hot drink and cake from the Clocktower Café)
