Join the Museum of Croydon for a bespoke guided tour celebrating Croydon's rich Black musical heritage, past and present.
Book your free place via Eventbrite!
First launched as part of the London Borough of Culture 2023 programme, this walk explores the stories of artists, musicians and changemakers whose influence extends far beyond music.
Whether you're a local resident looking to discover something new, a teacher seeking inspiration and learning resources, a parent planning a family day out, a visitor to Croydon, or simply someone interested in Black history and culture, this tour offers a unique insight into the people and communities that have shaped the borough's cultural life.
This tour provides just a snapshot of these stories. We encourage participants to continue exploring through organisations and resources such as Croydon BME Forum, Black Cultural Archives and The Black Curriculum, as well as Black History Walks and Avril's Walks and Talks.
Spaces are limited for this guided tour - book early to avoid disappointment!
